The Great Clock - Marshall Fields

The Great Clock ... Chicago's very own "Marshall Field's" has been taken over by New York's "Macy's" ... However Macy's is required to keep this iconic nameplate and famous clock due to the historic significance of this place ... as Marshall Field's is listed in the "National Registry of Historical Places" in 1978 ...

This is the first of the Marshall Field's Great Clocks and was installed on November 26, 1897 ... at the corner of Washington and State Strees ... It soon became Chicago's landmark and a popular meeting place.
