Contemporary Sculptors of Chicago: John Adduci

My Pie - By John Adduci..

Balm Oh - By John Adduci..

Continuing with my series on Contemporary Sculptors of Chicago..
Here's, John Adduci..

Talk about an very friendly, very helpful and a very accomplished sculptor. A big supporter of of large-scale sculptures at Public Spaces. His statement on his website, explains his philosophy..
Sculpture excites our intuition to explore, to see all sides. It is an on-the-street experience with art. That interaction challenges our right to take up space, it is powerful and audacious. By proximity, outdoor sculpture confronts, creates dialog and educates..

John Adduci was born in Chicago in 1948, received a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Illinois University in 1971, and a Master of Fine Arts from Arizona State University in 1975. Since 1984, he has been creating public projects. His sculptures can be found at many Public Spaces and have been displayed in many exhibitions..
