I resided in the area before the second world war. My friends and I spent many pleasant moments congregating by the fountain. Its a pity that the neighborhood has deteriorated to where the fountain is no longer appreciated but apparently has become a source for scrap brass stolen by crackheads, necessitating the high fence enclosure.
