The Guardian stands at the entrance of the English Walled Garden. Constructed with semi-precious stones and minerals, the sculpture represents the ancient elements of earth - air, fire and water.

Simon Verity carved stone statuary forr the Portal of Paradise on St. John the Divine Cathedral in New York. His work appears in many English gardens, including that of the Prince of Wales.
