Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago
The Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, which opened in June 2012, partnered with more than 20 of Chicago's cultural institutions to create art installations in the public and family spaces throughout the hospital. On the 12th floor is the interfaith chapel, which features a series of 16 east-facing leaded glass windows designed by Chicago artist David Lee Csicsko, entitled, "Forest of Hope". The windows and mosaics feature images of trees and water. The design creates a place to restore and rest, and helps to ease stress and offer hope. The windows were built by David Condon of Colorsmith Stained Glass, and the partnering tile mosaics were crafted by Erin Adams.
