Shen Cheng Xu returns to LSE for his third appearance with us. He creates contemporary and traditional sculptures. Catch Up continues his run of making family-friendly, eminently approachable pieces for this show. The organic form is matched with a whimsical feel to lighten the hearts of everyone. Shencheng’s quality craftsmanship and artistry are bound together to bring a smile to your face and allow you to explore your inner creativity.
Shen Cheng has completed over a dozen monumental pieces in China before arriving in the States. He is also a teacher at Northeastern Illinois University..

I studied with Shen Cheng Xu when he taught and made sculpture in Baltimore. I think of him every time I remember to measure something to bring it into true proportion. His creativity, generosity, and constant example of working hard, all make him a wonderful teacher.
