The Chicago Park District website informs... Keck's family donated the Young Lincoln to the G.A.R. collection of Chicago Public Library, which is now the Chicago Cultural Center. In 1997, the Chicago Public Library loaned the monument to the Chicago Park District to allow its installation in Senn Park on the city's North Side.

The four-sided statue is decorated with Neptune and harvest Goddess figure.

Donated by Drexel brothers - Francis Drexel and Anthony Drexel - in memory of their father Francis M. Drexel, whose life-size sculpture sits atop this fountain.

Public Art is free for all to enjoy..

When Benjamin Franklin Ferguson died in 1905, through his will, he left $1 million of charitable trust fund to the Art Institute of Chicago, to be known as the B. F. Ferguson Fund .. This fund was to be..
"entirely and exclusively expended by it under the direction of its Board of Trustees in the erection and maintenance of enduring statuary and monuments, in the whole or in part of stone, granite or bronze, in the parks, along the boulevards or in other public places, within the city of Chicago, Illinois, commemorating worthy men or women of America or important events of American history. The plans or designs for such statuary or monuments and the location of the same shall be determined by the Board of Trustees of such Institute."

Location: Scoville Park in Oak Park

The monument includes three bronze statues representing the Army, Navy and Air Force, guarding the heroic female figure of Columbia, who serves as a symbol of liberty, social justice and equality.   The memorial includes names of 2,446 residents who served in World War I from Oak Park and River Forest.

This sculpture was exhibited in the 1893, Chicago's World's Columbian Exposition, in the Italian Pavilion. The work was commissioned by the owners of the Columbus Memorial Bldg. and cast in Rome. After the World's Fair, it was placed at the entrance of the downtown bldg. But the bldg. was demolished in 1959, and this sculpture went to storage. In 1966, Senator Victor Arrigon, arranged for it to be displayed in it's present location.

The Giuseppe Garibaldi Monument in Chicago was commissioned by Legione Garibaldi - an Italian American organization.  The organization raised $ 12,000 to fund the statue in 1901. It was installed on the east side of Lincoln park, near Old Lake Shore Drive (now Cannon Drive). It has been relocated a number of times. It now sits in the Garibaldi Park in Chicago West side.

Also represented are a globe and iguana., symbolozing his travels and the role his descriptions played in the establishment of the sciences of physical geography and geophysics., and the charts of which Humboldt set down the temperatures of the Pacific Ocean current named after him..

Believed to be Chicago's first statue commemorating Columbus. The monument was originally dedicated in December 1892 to mark the 400th anniversary of his voyage.

The Robert Burns Memorial was commissioned by a Burns Memorial and Monument Association in 1906. The association was formed in 1880s. The association commissioned the statue from Edinburg sculptor William Grant Stevenson.  The sculpture was cast in bronze in Edinburgh, Scotland and is a gift of the Robert Burns Memorial Association. Robert Burns is Scotland's most revered poet.

Commissioned by the Swedish community of Chicago.

From 1891 the Carl von Linné statue stood at Fullerton Avenue and Cannon Drive in Lincoln Park. It was transferred to the current location at Midway Plaisance by the Swedish Bicentennial Commission. Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustav rededicated it, April 19, 1976.
