Art prize, 2010 [Swoop - by Michael Young]
Swoop..
By Michael Young..
Medium: aluminum and neon
15'L x 5'W x 16'T
Location: Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park..
Art Prize, 2010.. Grand Rapids, Michigan..
Swoop..
The work is meant to convey the feeling of the thrill of the dive and the moment a wing just skims the surface and begins its climb back to the sky...
I met, three lovely ladies in front of "Swoop". Sue Rios [in Fuchia], Mary Carter [in plaid] and Lywette Dykhouse [in Green]. They are artists in their own right.
They wished "Hi!" to Michael..
