Washington DC [Head of Victory / First Division Memorial]
First Division Memorial..
Division of the American Expeditionary Force (Infantry) that served in World War I.
The Memorial was dedicated on October 4, 1924..
Sculptor: Daniel Chester French created the gilded bronze firgure of "Victory"..
Architect: Cass Gilbert designed the obelisk, base and setting..
Location: The First Division Memorial is located in President's Park, south of the Executive Office Building and East of the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.
