The Chicago Sculpture International [ Part I :Founding Members]

Founding Members of the Chicago Sculpture International [CSI]
Terry Karpowicz, Bob Emser, Nicole Beck,
Christine Rojek, Tom Scarff and Barry Tinsely.

Established in the year 2004, the Chicago Sculpture International [CSI], a non-profit organization, is an affiliate of the  International Sculpture Center [ISC]. It is an organization of sculptors and art professionals, who assit each-other with exchange of ideas, practical advise, assistance with equipments and moral support. Over the years, CSI has grown to more than 200 members.

The year 2012, is especially significant for CSI as the 23rd International Sculpture Conference will be held in Chicago.  It's a three day event from Oct 4 to Oct 6, 2012. The conference will feature 3 Keynote speakers, 14 panels, ArtSlams and a number of optional activities. More on this in later posts.

[ For a long time I had been wanting to write about the CSI, how it started, it's various activites and the big upcoming event in October, 2012. But I always felt, that I didnt have sufficient information needed to write an article.  Today, I decided, I will  start writing anyways, and will learn as I go.. And what better way to start than a post on it's Founding Members...
More posts will come later...  ]
